Looking at sectoral performance, the PSU bank index surged 3%, while oil & gas and telecom advanced by 1% each. Meanwhile, pharma, realty, metal, and IT sectors saw modest gains of 0.5% each.

As it nears the 26,000 mark, a brief period of consolidation may occur before a fresh breakout. On the upside, resistance is seen around 25,900–26,500, while support lies between 25,800 and 25,400.
