In today’s stock market, Nifty hovers around 25,500, Sensex drops by 460 points; PSU banks show strong performance.

On June 30, Sensex was down 452.44 points at 83,606.46, and the Nifty was down 120.75 points at 25,517.05. About 2,288 shares advanced, –1,674 shares declined, and 160 shares remained unchanged.
Top Nifty gainers: Trent, SBI, IndusInd Bank, Bharat Electronics and Jio Financial.
Top Nifty Losers : Tata Consumer, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Hero MotoCorp, Maruti Suzuki
On the sectoral front, the PSU Bank index climbed 2.5%, while realty, FMCG, auto, and metal sectors closed lower. The BSE Midcap index gained 0.6%, while the Smallcap index rose by 0.8%.

After a weak start, the Index continued to decline throughout the day, ending 120.75 points lower at 25,517.05. Sectoral trends were mixed PSU Banks and Pharma led the gains, while Realty and Auto underperformed. Broader markets showed resilience, with both Midcap and Smallcap indices advancing over 0.5%, outperforming the main Index.
Technically, a bearish engulfing pattern has formed near the lower end of a bearish gap zone, signaling caution. Resistance is expected between 25,500 and 26,000, while strong support is seen in the 25,200 to 24,400 range.
