On August 28,<\/strong> Sensex was down 705.97 <\/strong>points at 80,080.57<\/strong>, and the Nifty was down 211.15 <\/strong>points at 24,500.90<\/strong>. About 1409 <\/strong>shares advanced, -2501<\/strong> shares declined, and 142 <\/strong>shares unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top Nifty gainers:\u00a0Titan Company, L&T, Coal India, Asian Paints, Hero MotoCorp<\/strong>,
Top Nifty Losers : Shriram Finance, HCL Technologies, TCS, Power Grid Corporation, Infosys<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barring Consumer Durables, all sectoral indices closed lower, with banking, IT, realty, FMCG, and telecom stocks each slipping around 1%<\/p>\n\n\n\n
