Markets extended their winning streak on Friday, rising by nearly half a percent, driven by favorable global and domestic factors. After a strong opening, the benchmarks gained during the first half and then traded in a narrow range until the close. Sector performance was broad-based, with metals, financials, and autos leading the way, while FMCG lagged. The broader markets also showed strength, as midcap and smallcap indices gained between 0.30% and 0.67%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rally was fueled by a mix of positive catalysts. Corporate developments, like Infosys’ Rs 18,000 crore mega buyback, boosted sentiment in IT blue chips. Strong domestic institutional inflows helped offset continued selling by foreign portfolio investors, while positive global cues further added to the momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resistance is expected between 25,000 and 25,500, with support in the 24,900\u201324,600 range.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
