On October 10,<\/strong> the Sensex was up 299.14 <\/strong>points at 82,471.24<\/strong>, and the Nifty was up 97.60 <\/strong>points at 25,279.40<\/strong>. About 2202 <\/strong>shares advanced, 1587 <\/strong>shares declined, and 127 <\/strong>shares unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the sectoral front, metal index shed 0.8%<\/strong>, while auto, bank, consumer durables, PSU bank, realty, pharma added 0.5-1 %<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
