Failure to do so may lead to penalties and legal consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preventing Tax Evasion:<\/strong> Linking PAN with Aadhaar helps prevent tax evasion by individuals who may possess multiple PAN cards. Aadhaar is a unique identification number that helps to ensure that individuals have only one PAN card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Government Subsidies:<\/strong> Linking PAN with Aadhaar is mandatory to receive government subsidies such as LPG subsidy, food subsidies, and other benefits. The government can use Aadhaar to ensure that subsidies reach the right people and prevent fraud and misuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bank Transactions:<\/strong> Linking PAN with Aadhaar is also mandatory for certain banking transactions such as opening a new bank account, investing in mutual funds, and applying for credit cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Property Transactions:<\/strong> Linking PAN with Aadhaar is mandatory for property transactions above a certain threshold. This helps to prevent black money and ensures transparency in property transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Consequences of not linking PAN with Aadhaar Card<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Not linking PAN with Aadhaar can have several consequences, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Unable to file Income Tax Returns (ITR):<\/strong> The most significant consequence of not linking PAN with Aadhaar is that taxpayers may not be able to file their income tax returns. The government has made it mandatory to link PAN with Aadhaar to file ITR, and if the PAN is not linked, the ITR will not be processed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Disqualification of PAN:<\/strong> If an individual possesses multiple PAN cards, and fails to link all of them with Aadhaar, the government may disqualify one or more PAN cards. This could result in issues with banking transactions and other financial activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Inability to receive Government Subsidies: <\/strong>Linking PAN with Aadhaar is mandatory to receive government subsidies such as LPG subsidy, food subsidies, and other benefits. option under the &#8220;Quick Links&#8221; section.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your PAN, Aadhaar number, name as per Aadhaar and the Captcha code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the &#8220;Link Aadhaar&#8221;
