On Feb 24,<\/strong> <\/em>Sensex was down 1,221.99<\/strong> points at 82,072.67<\/strong>, and the Nifty fell 337.55<\/strong> points to 25,375.45.<\/strong> Around 979 <\/strong>shares rose, 2,803<\/strong> shares declined, and 123 <\/strong>shares remained unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top Nifty gainers: \u00a0HUL, Hindalco Industries, Coal India, NTPC, JSW Steel.<\/strong>
Top Nifty Losers :\u00a0Tech Mahindra, Eternal, Infosys, TCS, HCL Technologies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among sectors, the IT index was the worst hit, plunging more than 4 percent<\/strong>, while the realty index declined over 2 percent<\/strong>. However, metal, pharma, PSU Bank, oil & gas, energy rose 0.3-1%.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The broader market also ended lower, with the Nifty Midcap shed 0.3%<\/strong>, and Smallcap index fell 0.55%.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
