On March 4 ,<\/strong> <\/em>the Sensex was down 1,122.66<\/strong> points at 79,116.19,<\/strong> and the Nifty fell 385.20<\/strong> points at 24,480.50<\/strong>. About 996<\/strong> shares advanced, 3,105<\/strong> shares declined, and 137<\/strong> remained unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The turmoil continued in Indian markets on Wednesday, with the Nifty ending 385 points lower. After opening sharply lower by 480 points due to weak global cues amid rising geopolitical tensions, the index attempted a recovery during the middle of the session, moving within a range. The initial gap-down opening was partially filled, and the Nifty closed off its day\u2019s lows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A decent green candle was formed on the daily chart after the gap-down open, with both upper and lower shadows. Technically, this suggests strong selling pressure along with some volatility. In the past few sessions, meaningful recoveries have followed sharp gap-down openings, indicating a possible attempt by bulls to trigger a relief rally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immediate resistance is placed between 24,700 and 25,000, while support is seen in the 24,400 to 24,000 zone.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Bank Nifty also opened with a gap-down and largely stayed range-bound throughout the session, ending at 58,755, down 1.81%. The index has now slipped below its 100-day EMA on the daily chart. With today\u2019s decline, Bank Nifty has completely filled the 1,106-point gap that was formed on February 3 following the India\u2013US trade deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immediate resistance is seen between 60,000 and 60,500, while support is placed in the 59,000 to 59,500 range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
