Additionally, all monthly contracts for <strong>Sensex, Bankex, and Sensex 50<\/strong> will now expire on the<strong> last Tuesday of the month<\/strong>, starting from <strong>January 1, 2025<\/strong>. Currently, the expiry days for these contracts are the last Friday for Sensex, last<strong> <\/strong>Monday for Bankex, and last Thursday for Sensex 50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting<strong> January 1, 2025<\/strong>, the expiry day for <strong>quarterly and semi-annual contracts <\/strong>of the<strong> Sensex<\/strong> will change to <strong>Tuesday<\/strong> of the <strong>expiry month,<\/strong> instead of the current last<strong> <\/strong>Friday.<strong> BSE will update the expiry dates for existing index futures and options contracts at the end of December 31, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After<strong> January 3, 2025<\/strong>, all derivatives contracts for <strong>Sensex, Bankex, and Sensex 50 <\/strong>will expire on <strong>Tuesday.<\/strong><mark class=\"annotation-text annotation-text-yoast\" id=\"annotation-text-2882f447-3174-44ec-a2da-5c38ee82e645\"> <\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the weekly Sensex contract expiring on January 3, 2025, will remain unaffected. <strong>Any new index derivatives contracts created after January 1, 2025, will have their expiry on Tuesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BSE stated in its circular that there will be no changes to any other aspects of the contract specifications for the mentioned contracts, except for the expiry day.
