Nifty gained over 100 points to close at 24,979, extending its recovery as it remained above the 21-day EMA, with a bullish RSI crossover above 50 reinforcing the positive momentum. Renewed optimism around ongoing trade negotiations between India and the US lifted market sentiment, while expectations of stronger H2FY26 earnings driven by GST rationalization and potential monetary easing are lending resilience to current valuations. The IT index continued its outperformance on hopes of a potential Fed rate cut next week and signs of a revival in technology spending.
