Stock Market Prediction for Nifty & Bank Nifty 16th December 2025

In today’s stock market, Nifty stays above 26,000, Sensex steady in choppy trade; auto stocks fall, media stocks rise.

Stock Market Nifty Chart Prediction

On Dec 15, Sensex was down 54.30 points at 85,213.36, and the Nifty was down 19.65 points at 26,027.30. About 2,067 shares advanced, 1,864 shares declined, and 139 shares were unchanged.

Top Nifty gainers: Interglobe Aviation, ITC, HCL Technologies, HUL, Trent
Top Nifty Losers : ONGC, M&M, HDFC Life, Eicher Motors, JSW Steel.

On the sectoral front, PSU Bank, media, IT, FMCG, Consumer Durables rose 0.3-1%, while auto, pharma, telecom shed 0.5-1%.

BSE midcap index ended flat, while smallcap index rose 0.4%.

Stock Prediction for 16th December 2025

Prediction for Tuesday NIFTY can go up if it goes above 26,000 or down after the level of 25,900, but it also depends upon the Global cues.

Nifty recovered well after a gap-down opening but closed slightly lower at 26,027. It is holding above the 20-day EMA for the second day, showing improving short-term strength. However, a clear breakout is needed for further upside.

The Midcap index showed buying at lower levels and closed above its 20-day EMA, indicating stabilizing momentum, though further buying is needed.

The Smallcap index continued its correction for the third session. Resistance is seen at 26,000–26,500, while support lies between 25,900–25,600.

Bank Nifty Daily Chart Prediction

Prediction For Tuesday BANKNIFTY can go up if it goes above 59,500 or down after the level of 58,900, but it also depends upon the Global cues.

Bank Nifty recovered from early weakness and closed higher at 59,462. It is holding above the 20-day EMA, showing strength and stability in banking stocks.

Bank Nifty remains in a positive trend. Long positions can be held with a daily closing stop-loss at 58,949. Fresh short positions may be considered only if it closes below this level.

Immediate resistance is seen at 59,500–60,000, while key support lies at 58,900–58,500.
