Stock Prediction for 17th October 2025

Prediction for Friday NIFTY can go up if it goes above 25,500 or down after the level of 25,300, but it also depends upon the Global cues.

After a strong upward move on Wednesday, the Nifty saw a significant breakout on Thursday, closing 261 points higher. The index opened with a gap of 71 points and surged in the early to mid-session without any major dips. There was a brief period of consolidation near the 25,600 level towards the end, but Nifty managed to close near its highs.

A long bullish candlestick formed on the daily chart, breaking through the key resistance zone of 25,400–25,500 (downward sloping trendline on the daily/weekly charts). The previous swing high of 25,669 from early July is now in focus for a potential breakout. Resistance is seen in the 25,500 to 26,000 range, while support is expected between 25,300 and 24,900.
