In today’s stock market, Sensex and Nifty gave up most gains, ending flat, while IT stocks gained amid mixed market sentiment.

On October 23, Sensex was up 130.06 points at 84,556.40, and the Nifty was up 22.80 points at 25,891.40. About 1,692 shares advanced, 2,299 shares declined, and 121 shares were unchanged.

On the sectoral front, IT index rose 2%, Private Bank index up 0.5%, while oil & gas index down 0.6%.

BSE Midcap index down marginally, while smallcap index shed 0.4%.

Stock Prediction for 24th October 2025

Prediction for Friday NIFTY can go up if it goes above 25,800 or down after the level of 25,700, but it also depends upon the Global cues.

The Nifty wiped out its morning gains during the day, though the short-term trend remains positive. A large red candle on the daily chart suggests a possible pullback toward 25,700 in the coming days. However, the short-term uptrend stays intact, with chances of retesting higher levels near 26,200 in the next 10–15 days. Resistance is seen around 25,800–26,500, while support is placed between 25,700 and 25,000.
