On July 11, The Sensex fell by 27.43 points, to 79,897.34, while the Nifty declined by 8.50 points, to 24,316.00. There were 1,966 advancing shares, -1,427 declining shares, and 89 shares remained unchanged.

Top Nifty gainers:   BPCL, Coal India, ONGC, ITC and Tata Motors,
Top Nifty Losers: Tata Consumer Products, Bajaj Finance, Divis Labs, M&M and NTPC.

In sectoral performance, the realty index dropped by 1.5 percent and the pharma index decreased by 0.6 percent. Conversely, the media and oil & gas indices each rose by 1 percent.

 BSE midcap index rose 0.3% while the smallcap index added 0.6%.

Prediction For Friday, NIFTY can go up if it goes above 24,300 or down after the level of 24,200 but it all depends upon the Global cues.

The Nifty experienced a turbulent trading session today. It started off in positive territory but saw a steep decline. Then rebounded in the second half, closing slightly down by 8 points. It appears that dips approaching the lower boundary of 24,100 are being purchased, indicating solid support in the 24,200 – 24,150 range and resistance in the 24,300 – 24,400 range.

Prediction For Friday, Bank NIFTY can go up if it goes above 53,000 or down after the level of 52,000 but it all depends upon the Global cues.

Bank Nifty traded within a narrow range throughout the day. The index is hovering near a critical support zone between 52,000 and 51,100. If it maintains this level, a rebound towards 52,500 is possible. A sustained move above 52,500 could pave the way for a rise to 53,000. However, failing to hold support at 51,800 might lead to a decline towards the 51,300-51,000 range. Resistance is noted at the 53,000-53,400 level.
