Stock Prediction for 17th August 2026

Prediction for Monday NIFTY can go up if it goes above 24,500 or down after the level of 24,300, but it also depends upon the Global cues.

Nifty is currently trading around 24,360, with the index showing some consolidation after the recent upmove. The 24,400–24,700 zone remains a crucial resistance area, and a decisive breakout above 24,700 could open the door for further upside. However, failure to sustain above 24,400 may keep the index range-bound in the near term.

On the downside, 24,300–24,000 is the key support zone. Holding above this range could help Nifty maintain its broader positive structure, while a sustained break below 24,000 may trigger additional selling pressure. Traders should watch these levels closely for the next directional move.
