Top Nifty gainers: HDFC Life, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Grasim Industries, Bharti Airtel and HDFC Bank.
Top Nifty Losers: Trent, M&M, Hero MotoCorp, Infosys and Adani Ports
In the sectors, oil & gas, realty, and telecom indices finished higher, while auto, IT, pharma, and media sectors declined by 0.5 to 1 points.
The BSE midcap ended flat and smallcap index rose 0.3 percent.

Positive momentum is expected to continue toward 52,500, which aligns with the 20-day average. The support level is between 51,500–51,250 range, while resistance is seen between 52,000 and 52,500.
