In the stock market today, Sensex gained 260 points, Nifty rose above 26,000, driven by gains in media, power, and realty sectors.

On September 25, The Sensex increased by 255.83 points, reaching 85,169.87, while the Nifty gained 63.80 points, to settle at 26,004.20. Approximately 1,637 stocks saw gains, -2,148 declined, and 104 remained unchanged.

Top Nifty gainers: Power Grid Corp, NTPC, Axis Bank, Grasim Industries, Bajaj Finserv
Top Nifty Losers: LTIMindtree, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consumer, Tata Motors and Titan Company.

In terms of sectors, the power, metal, media, and realty indices rose by 0.5-3%, whereas FMCG, PSU Bank, and IT saw declines of 0.5-1%.

BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices down 0.5% each.

Prediction For Thursday, NIFTY can go up if it goes above 26,000 or down after the level of 25,900, but it all depends upon the Global cues.

Nifty reached a new all-time high as bullish momentum persisted, even after a weak opening. The outlook is expected to stay positive as long as it holds above 25,900, where significant put writing was observed. On the higher side, resistance is seen at 26,000-26,500, while support on the downside is at 25,900-25,500.
